Am I being mindful?

When almost anything can be a distraction from where you are and what you are doing, how can you know that you’re being mindful? Trying to study but your Twitter feed keeps going off or you remember that the dishes need to be washed and put away, two examples out of an infinite number of distractions that we all deal with. The practice of meditation lays the foundation of subtle awareness about what you are doing at that moment as well as monitoring thoughts and emotions.
